Data Analytics & Health Informatics internship

Govsphere is recruiting for multiple positions in conjunction with our Govsphere Internship Program. These individuals will be responsible for developing reports, presentations, and documentation for Govsphere projects and initiatives. Our ideal candidates will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Each internship position is a flexible, part-time position (10 to 15 hours/week).

Position Description:
The Data Analytics and Health Informatics intern will be responsible for analyzing, manipulating, and processing large datasets while disseminating information related to Govsphere’s VITAL Telehealth and MedX Rehab programs. Specifically, this intern will generate meaningful inferences from population health datasets that will be utilized to develop predictive analytics models using artificial intelligence (AI). This position requires excellent statistics and analytical skills and ability to think “outside of the box.”

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Analyze and manipulate large datasets containing de-identified patient health information
• Utilize software to conduct statistical analysis and trend analysis in an effort to identify patterns and trends in each dataset
• Coordinate with Govsphere team to develop hypotheses and answer questions pertaining to each dataset
• Support Govsphere knowledge management (KM) activities, including organizing and developing the Govsphere Intranet and knowledge repositories

Qualification Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills and data processing skills
• Experience using Microsoft software tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI, and other data intelligence tools strongly preferred
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Solid time management skills and the ability to adhere to timekeeping policies and procedures
• Able to work independently with minimal direction while following sound business practices
• Capable of working under strict timelines and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
